Helping bodies such as the BTO, RSPB and WWT with surveys and data gathering is very important to us.
Over the years we have chased around looking for whooper swans, sat in cars waiting for tawny owls to start hooting, and shivered on moorland hillsides hoping to see peregrine falcons.

More recently, we have been following the fortunes of wading birds in the Forest Of Bowland AONB. Lapwings, curlew and oystercatchers are all handsome and noisy birds, which can help us to make judgements about the impacts of farming and other land management practices.
